Our winery is open year-round for wine tastings and tours.
During your visit, you will meet our family, learn about the history of our region and our winemaking activities, and experience the traditional method of sparkling wine production, known as methode traditionnelle.
The tour includes:

The best-selling tasting option- The Premium Option begins with our signature label Botanicand continues with a variety of other Greek wines.
- This option is perfect for those wanting a broad overview of Greek varieties and a taste of our innovative sparkling Retsina.

Savatiano Panorama
A tribute to the indigenous variety of Attica- Visitors can explore different expressions of Savatiano through a tasting of seven distinct wines, uncovering its full potential.
- This option is ideal for lovers of experimental and unique winemakingand those wishing to delve deeper into the variety that has defined the wine tradition of Mesogeia.
- This option includes: Savatiano, Savatiano Fine Lees, Savatiano Yellow, Botanic Base Retsina, Botanic Sparkling, Kodra Recina, Sweet Dream (a sweet wine made from sundried grapes).
* All tasting options come with an individual plate featuring a variety of appetizers, along with bread, olive oil, and olives in the center. During the tasting, additional appetizers are provided, and the sweet wine is paired with a dessert treat.

01. General Information
Where is the winery located?
It is located in Koropi, Attica. The winery is just 7 km (10 minutes by car) from Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos), 31 km (35-40 minutes by car) from the center of Athens (Syntagma square), and 36 km (40-50 minutes by car) from Piraeus Port. Additionally, the winery is very close to the Athenian Riviera, being only 15 km from Vouliagmeni, 19 km from Glyfada, and 42 km from Sounion. Its strategic location allows for short excursions from the center of Athens and the Athenian Riviera and serves as a convenient stop before or after flights.
Can I reach the winery by public transportation?
Yes, the nearest metro-suburban railway station is "Koropi" (blue line 3 from/to the Airport). Taxis are available at the station for your convenience, and the average travel time from the station to the winery is about 5 minutes.
Can I buy products at the winery?
Of course! The Nikolou Winery has a retail shop open daily (Monday to Saturday) from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The shop is closed on Sundays. Visitors can access the shop during their visit.

Is the winery accessible to people with limited mobility?

Are pets allowed at the winery?
Pets are welcome in the outdoor areas of the winery, provided they are on a leash and well-behaved. For hygiene and safety reasons, their access to specific areas in the production unit is limited.

Is a reservation required for tours and wine tasting?

When can I visit the winery for a wine tasting and tour?
The winery is open from Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and on Sunday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. During holiday periods, hours may vary.
Are tours available in English?
Yes, tours are conducted in both Greek and English.
What does the winery visit include? What is the average duration?
The visit includes a tour of the winemaking facilities and a video about the history of the area. Visitors will then proceed to the cellar and the sparkling wine production area. Finally, a wine tasting is offered, accompanied by local delicacies. A family member leads the entire tour and provides detailed information.
The average duration of a visit is 2 to 3 hours.
Is there a fee for the visit?

Is my visit private or shared with other guests?
We always strive to offer private visits. During high-demand periods, tours may be shared. In such cases, wine tastings take place in the same general area but are always conducted privately.
Are children allowed on visits?
Yes, children can join visits as long as they are accompanied by a guardian. Non-alcoholic beverages are provided to children during the tasting session. Minors under the age of 18 are strictly prohibited from consuming alcohol.
